A quick update, my VISA 1 night ecertificate is now expired. While reviewing my upcoming reservations today, it had automatically been removed from the reservation I had attached it to for this summer.

In summary, the MR Web site will allow you to attach a VISA ecertificate to any upcoming 1 night stay of the appropriate category as long as it hasn't expired at the time you make the reservation; however, once the expiration date passes it will automatically remove the certificate from the reservation. So as others have already noted, you must use the certificate before the expiration date.
