South Pacific / Australia - Gay Friendly Places?
Hi guys,
Really need some help here. I'm planning a trip for me and my partner to either Aus or more likely one of the islands in the South Pacific. There doesn't seem to be much info in this thread on that area. I'm not necessarily looking for places that are gay friendly to the point where holding hands is a non-issue (although that would be nice), but rather somewhere where 2 guys sharing a bed would be fine, and trying to avoid places that are likely to give us more trouble. I should mention here also here that I am in a older-younger relationship with quite an age difference between us, which may or may not cause additional stigma, so I am wanting to stay on the safer side of things.
We are considering places like: Samoa, New Caledonia, Rarotonga, Tahiti, North Queensland, Nuie, Vanuatu. So far my research is pointing towards New Caledonia as being the most gay-friendly place, Samoa as a place to avoid, and mixed opinions on Rarotonga. Any opinions or experiences on that above list of places would be very helpful. If anyone also knows any particular places to stay which are gay friendly that would be of great help.
Thanks heaps!
