I'm thinking of finally taking advantage of my Citi PremierePass Elite card and getting companion tickets.

I've heard that they mostly use AA, which is good news for me! (Though with AA continually reducing flights out of SFO/SJC, this may be challenging.)

Has anyone here ever taken advantage of this program?

Do you earn AA miles for the flights? Or do they use some wacky consolidator class so that you don't?
