You'd be surprised. In the UK it's up to the bailiff to decide what goods to seize and the bailiff might take the view that an aircraft is easy to impound and will focus the mind of the party that owes the cash (ie BA).
But over here if the amount was over GBP750 I'd just issue a winding-up petition once I had the judgment. Basically it means 'pay up in 18 days or go bankrupt'.
