I'm very new to this, so please bear with me. I've found that trying to plan MRs from ORD on my preferred airline (AA) has been pretty much impossible for a reasonable return on the dollar due to the much maligned "hub penalty." Do seasoned FT'ers have advice on how to plan MRs from hubs? Are there times of the year where costs do come down? Or do you drive to MKE and save $100 on your fare? Thanks!
