...and just as a follow-on thought, AA is down to 8 MD-11s. They're currently used between Dallas/Fort-Worth and Sao Paulo, Brasil; Santiago, Chile; and Frankfort, Germany. Perhaps they are used elsewhere, but I recall seeing somewhere that they were only going to be used between DFW and a few South American markets. The only bummer (in my opinion, at least) about AA's MD-11s is that some of them have seat power adapters, and others do not. DC-10s, on the other hand, have been totally phased out of AAs fleet, as previously stated. No loss there, in my opinion
