Opening the browser led me to the MLL access page.

Although you could access a few pages free of charge (AC.com, Delta, Fairmont, Avis, etc.), the "Connect to the internet" icon, right next to the business centre one, only contained a link that led to the charge of a 'minimal fee'.

The situation may have been resolved later on during the day, though. That was at about 8 AM on Friday.

I did have an Air Canada ticket for a flight that morning.
i was at the YUL Domestic MLL lounge from 4:45 - 5:15am on Friday morning and internet was free......
