The all-business-class nonstop generally runs in the $6000+ range RT when I've checked prices. You can book separate EWR-LAX (CO) and LAX-SIN (SQ) flights for a total of $1350 (as an example for a random late February to early March RT) in economy. Now if the OP wants to go in Business Class, that's a different story...
