I need alittle help with this route and what to expect now that CO is part of SA. I need to go to Singapore the end of this month and instead of doing the EWR direct I am meeting a co worker at LAX and doing the SQ direct to SIN from LAX. My co worker told me last time he went to SIN he booked it all via United and they were able to check his bag though DEN-LAX-SIN. If I call CO first will they be able to book EWR-LAX on CO and LAX-SIN on SQ? If yes will they be able to check my bags though? Thanks for any help.
CO will also be able to check your bags through if you book this on separate tickets. However, if things go south somewhere along the way, having both flights on one booking gives you some protection because the airlines will be responsible for getting you to your final destination. On separate tickets, you're on the hook if something goes wrong and you miss your connection.
