quite a few things in HNL are the same price or sometimes cheaper than ANC. Airfare and gas are 2 of the few things that cost more in Alaska than the contiguous states, at least in the places I visit, including HNL. Some places appear cheaper until you get to the register and get socked with a $20 tax charge
