Thanks for the ideas -- just for clarification, when is the true monsoon season?

Also, has anyone stayed at Marriott's Playa Andaluza?

I contacted RC and they said that I could only use points for a standard room and confirmed that my status pretty much meant nothing, so this makes me lean towards JW's, Marriott VCs, and the like.
