Stayed here in early January for 2 (or 3? - I forget) nights , its right next to a shopping Mall and opposite the Hilton Conrad.
Nice lounge, on 2 floors, good breakfast selection and nice evening nibbles (though they remove things on time) - including free computers, a mac and a normal PC - free alcohol as well. Its a bit of a walk to the hotel from public transport, so its easier to get a cab around (Cheap enough in HK). As a Platinum staying on points was upgraded to a nice executive room with a view of the Conrad and a hillside (almost all green). Rooms were small but had nice electronics (flatscreen TV and a very nice radio alarm). Some of the rooms have a view of the harbour (and the lounge) though as there is a large land reclamation scheme happening right next to the main ferry area the view isn't as great as it could be.
For food I think you'll be forced to travel unless you like eating in shopping malls - sadly I probably can't advise on this as I like to eat in local food places (lots in this city without any English signs and point+hope menus!). The service was excellent so I assume that the hotel concierge will be able to advise on somewhere suitable without any issue.
Any other questions just shout.
