I've booked flights with Mexicana twice, both terribly oversold. On one they were out writing your down your arrival time, as they planned to deny a lot of folks. I eventually got on that flight with a bunch of arguing…..

Second flight, I got there 95 minutes before departure, they only had one agent at the ticket counter. In 35 minutes they checked in about 5 parties, still about 40 people in line. At an hour before departure, the gate agent made an announcement in Spanish only, at the Denver airport, then walked off. I ask someone in line what they said, and basically the agent left to serve the incoming flight.

So I was out of luck, I was able to get my money back for the second flight after about three months of arguing…. Funny they claimed I didn’t show up, duh, if the agent walks off with a bunch of folks in line I wasn’t the only one who didn’t show up.

Bottom line, I think Mexicana suggests arriving three hours before departure….
