What else did they offer for free before? I have only ever gotten coffee, green tea or water. I don't remember seeing soda or juice on the cart, though maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

I guess this really just means no more free coffee, and more options if you're willing to pay.

There is still no carry-on liquids ban for domestic flights in Japan, so I say "big deal." Couple cheap beers from the ANA FESTA and I'm set for even an OKA flight.
