AA's program, OTH, counts all miles. So even those transferred from a Marriott TP award. And just like pinniped,, I am now a lifetime Gold and getting closer to lifetime Plat with AA. ^
Can you use transferred miles to gain status on AA or any other airline? I know that CO is still doing status matches, so I am considering my options about how to best be able to fly internationally in business or first when and where I want to go for the best deal. Any suggestions for where transferring miles from a hotel program would be best served for someone who might want to pick up elite status with a second airline?
To keep this ON TOPIC, how does this sort of thing compare from Hyatt to Marriott?
