Hi everyone,
I'm looking to decide which loyalty scheme to start concentrating on. I was doing Airmiles, with a lloydsTSB card, and tesco clubcard etc. But i'm disappointed with the apparent rewards.
So i'm thinking of a BA amex, and Executive club. But have a few queries:
1) Is the plan right for me? My girlfriend and i travel long haul approx 3 times a year, and another 3-4 short hauls (usually from ryanair, tbh, it's so much easier from LPL.) Usually book a discount econ ticket on long haul though, and are happy enough. But we got an upgrade from finnair last trip, and now have a taste for business....
I ocasionally travel domestic FlyBe for work, but that is all in terms of business flying.
2) Just reading about tier points, may have fallen at the first hurdle, as we prob won't do the 4 BA flights a year, does this mean that it wouldn't be worthwhile, or is anyone getting "value" out of collecting exec club miles and remaining blue?
3) If all is well, Which card should i go for? I'm self employed, and could manage the £20k amex spend with the basic, so could get a 2-4-1, a lot of that spend would be from my buss partner though, who gets the points on a second card? What if anything is the benifit of the BA corporate amex?
4) I have > 40k AAdvantage points to transfer in aswell.
I have loads more questions, but fear i'm boring people.....
