As a general rule, TPS doesn't supply anything. It's Marriott's longest-of-the-long-stay brands. Sometimes you'll get a check-in amenity and coffee in the lobby, but breakfast isn't a part of the brand standard. The upside is that it's sometimes 30-40% less than a Residence Inn. If you just like a bagel and a Coke in the morning, it's a pretty good value.

I like Embassy's breakfast because usually the serving area is large and there is room for guests to spread out. Residence Inns are frequently very crowded - a smaller lobby and compact area where the food is served. Quality is okay at both...sometimes a smidge better at Embassy IMHO.

The roadside motel brands are usually less chaotic because guests seem to arrive and depart at a wider range of hours. There seem to be fewer total guests overall per square foot of lobby space than at, say, a Residence Inn. I like Hampton best in this category. On some past roadtrips, we've planned the driving days to end in towns or villages that have a Hampton Inn.
