A quibble to be sure, but I hate the aircraft smell that seeps into my good work coat when I have to fold it up and put it in the overhead bin.
I think the opposite. I would rather fold up my coat/jacket, put it in a bag and store it in the overhead bin, than have it placed in a closet by the FA. I don't want to risk getting dog hair/cat hair on my coat when it is being hung next to an animal lover's coat.
