I agree that it was OK when the new business and first were on relatively few planes in the fleet, but now that almost all of the planes have either been refitted or retired, SQ has to wake up.

SQ may eventually open the flights to awards.. but as you have said, it may very well be 2 , 3 or maybe even 4x the 'price' of current awards. No way will SQ give away seats at current award levels to its partners.
