Thanks for the thread! Just tried it, and booked a night in Juan-Les-Pins near Nice for 12,700 miles at a place that is otherwise going for 155 euro/ night!

I noticed that the Sylter Hof in Berlin is going for under 5000 miles. With my current point balance, I could stay there for about three months.

Unfortunately, that might actually be what I will have to do with my miles.
