But like you noted, if you are a Platinum, you can book the ticket, pay any taxes and fees, and then if you wished to cancel the ticket, CO would return your miles and process a refund of the taxes and fees.
did this tonight with a US flight no less, since I was gonna pay via WU
its on hold till midnight tommorrow night.
Went back in to check something and it seems I got the last free tkt for that flight, whats weird is US wanted 60k for that flight while it was 37,500 on CO
no doubt it will be purchased tommorrow and as a Plat no Fees to CX it. Dont mind lending CO the $68 as an ins policy Its a free coach Intl tkt
