Just curious what others have been experiencing in the way of courtesy holds for award tickets. Used to be you would automatically get a week, with an easy +1 week extension. Then it went to something like a week +3 days, then a week. Just now I was told 3 days - not sure yet if they allow any extension requests at all. It seems to me that since plats can change without fee anyway, CO would be more generous with the courtesy holds. Isn't it a hassle for them (as well as me) to have to possibly refund the taxes?

Was hoping if I could hold it long enough, perhaps something better than SFO-YYZ (7hr layover)-CDG might eventually materialize.
