I knew about the $10 PUJ tourist card required upon arrival, and the some tour operators include this in the package. When I called to ask whether this was included in our package, I was told that it was. I first spoke with an agent at US Airways Vacations, who said that it was included, and that we would get the card onboard the flight to PUJ. I also spoke to an agent at US Airways, who I asked about the situation with tourist cards for PUJ, and again, was told that we would receive one on board.

Of course, on board, me and my SO, and I presume the rest of the pax, only received a customs form to fill out. I asked an FA about the tourist card, and she said the customs form and a passport was all we needed for entry. I specifically asked about additional fees for the tourist card, and again was told that my passport and the customs form was all that was needed to enter.

At immigration, we were made to pay the $10 X 2 for the tourist cards. It's $20 bucks, so not that big a deal, but I'd love to hear what others who have flown to PUJ before on US have encounered, particularly those booking through USV, to see if there's was included. After talking to two agents and an FA on the plane down, I figured we were covered for it, but I guess not. Like I said, not a big deal, but I'd like to know what the situation should have been.
