I'd agree with the above. Canada was a more of neutral country, respected for international peacekeeping which was a source of pride for many Canadians, under the leadership of Lester Pearson and Pierre Trudeau (1963-1984) but has taken a more pro-U.S. bent since (under the Mulroney govt) and especially so under the current Hitlarper govt who has stated his aim to support U.S. foreign policy and foreign military misadventures. I do need to point out that the Liberal regime under Chretien got Canada into the Afghan mess (said to be an appeasement to Bush for not getting involved in Gulf War II).
