Obviously I am going to presume that you are not under the age of 12 years -- US citizens under that age are allowed to enter the US on a non-US citizen parent's foreign passport but will have to demonstrate on arrival that they are a US citizen. There are other exceptions to the provision that mandates US citizens enter the US on a US passport.
That sounds like pretty good advice !
