Seems like a lot of Canadians have a never-ending ability to BS themselves regarding this topic.

I remember being in Greece for the Olympics in 2004 and how many of the locals were making fun of the Canadians because they looked like they all had taken a bath in their flag. A lot of Canadians look down on Americans for being "jingoistic," but they do exactly the same thing when they're out of the country.

For the record, I'm an American who never has tried to hide where he is from while at the same time never has broadcast it. I've been to five continents, treated everyone everywhere I go with respect and never had a problem. Except for one place.

Can you guess which country that was? Hint: It has the best doughnuts in the world.

I've been to Canada numerous times and have grown to love many of its people and many aspects of its culture. But the passive-aggressive, schizophrenic, petty and often-childish attitudes toward its neighbor (or do you say neighbour?) is not something of which Canadians should be proud.
