just wanted to ask if anybody has ideas for hotels to stay in Lima. I went to Peru last year but never made it past the airport on my way to Cusco. I think your best source of reliable information can be found at TripAdvisor.com. My personal favorite is the Sheraton in downtown Lima, but many travelers dislike it because of its location. They generally feel it is in too dangerous of an area of the old city. If money is not a concern, then I'd recommend the J.W. Marriott in Miraflores. It is in a plush neighborhood with many fine restaurants, bars, and shopping centers.
