Another issue entirely which I haven't brought up is that some CPAP machines may not work well in the different air pressure environment. Most CPAP machines do not adjust for the difference in air pressure. (i.e. a machine may have a different pressure output if it is in a low air pressure environment). Patients that move from Denver frequently have to adjust their settings due to the change. This may even require a repeat sleep study.
If I recall correctly, most modern machines compensate for changes in pressure up to 10,000 ft, which is the cabin pressure during most of the flight.
