I'm trying to figure out the specific DC-10 cabin config the last shot from the business class publication is.
Simon Forty's book, "American Airlines," published in 1997 [then re-published in 1998] puts the DC-10 trans-con configuration for business class at 7 rows of 2-3-2 and an 8th row, just 3 center seats in the very rear, in Business Class for a total of 46 seats. The photo here, however:
Shows the config at 7 rows of 2 on the HJ side, but the DG [center] row lines up 6 visible rows (and I assume the AB side and the HJ side are similarly configured]. Doesn't help that AA had over the course of the Woolly Mammoth's life a couple dozen DC-10 configurations.
BTW, is this chart correct:

That AA's intl. DC-10s at one time had 2-4-2 seating in business class? 0_o On one hand, that would be ok, 1 person to climb over on each side, but seems like an uncommon configuration for business class I'd imagine.
