Sorry, am not in the know but have one thought: Why not get an expandible anyways? I had situations where I really needed that additional inch urgently and then it is handy to have the option to expand.
I guess your question is clear (what is the biggest non-expanded) but I wouldn't discard the expansion function rightaway.
