That's a shame. The F/A should know better. Even if it was weight and balance, the F/A should have asked the captain and he should have explained the reason you couldn't move was weight and balance. My experience with the regional jets is that if the back is pretty full, moving up is not an issue. Particularly if you move a row or two up. Might send SkyWest a comment on that one.
