The Hilton rates have been jumping around like crazy ..... I agree!
I just went to website to book Fri/Sat/Sun .... that was PRE-PAY $A304 a night =
$912 for 3 nights.
I took your tip, to add THURSDAY to the mix, and that now gives us
Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun for $A152 a night =
$A608 for 4 nights!
As I get 20% off that due the Hilton Premium Club, that is $A486 total or
$A121 a night including tax!
I might add the
WEBSITE was still showing over $A300 a night - I needed to
phone it in, and they could see the low rates.
As posted earlier, Hotel Central will be the Adelaide Hilton, and all departures will be from there and bus drop offs etc.
So for anyone who does not really mind where they stay, that will be a wise choice.
Also for OzFests there are usually early evening drinks at the Hilton before heading off to dinner, and FT folks can then also catch up for breakfast in the lounge.
If you are a Hilton Gold or Diamond, or book an Executive room, you get access, and/or a time proven "smuggle in" roster from those who are, usually seems to sort itself out pretty well.
Drinks and supper is 6pm-8.30 weekends, and 6pm-8pm weekends. Breakfast weekdays is until 10am and on weekends until 11am.
In past years we have had folks staying all over the place and in a couple of cases have missed things as they did not make assemble point at Hotel Central in time.
