Don't even get me started on BE. Had to travel at the last minute EDI-SYY-EDI a few weeks ago. When I booked the flights only "Economy Plus" was available (c. £350) but I took some comfort that I could pre-select seats. On return leg from SYY we were sat in the front row but were asked to move to behind the wing to "balance the weight of the plane". Having consulted the in-flight mag in turns out the Saab used on this route only has a max range of 750 miles. No fuel was taken onboard in SYY (probably to save money as it is very expensive in SYY due to the shipping costs). So, BE are marketing a product that they simply cannot deliver on flights ex-SYY. Will take the ferry in the future since the introduction of RET has more than halved the fare price!
