On busy days, sometimes my room hasn't been cleaned until nearly 5pm. Did you have your do not disturb sign up at all today? If they were in your area when the sign was up, you can get pushed back to the next pass through the floor.

If I have any particular plans, I generally call the FD in the morning and request that the room be done by a certain time. They are pretty good at accomodating the request.
