I flew 1st only once on NRTSEA. The seat can be turned into a full flat bed. But not particularly comfortable. Compared with business class, I think the difference is you will get a larger salad portion and caviar. Also, you will have a personal video system.

2. What's the connection in NRT like?
AA arrives in (renovated) Pier 1 of Terminal 1. Unless you clear the immigration and customs, you have to take a bus to transfer to Terminal 2, where JL flights depart. Buses are not very frequent. Maybe one every 20 minutes. But I am sure AA staff will take care of you well.

3. Lounges in NRT -- am I better off at the AAdmiral's club lounge or going to the JAL lounge in NRT?
Technically, you can go to Adminral's Club in Terminal 1 but I think AA would suggest that you go to Terminal 2 for a connection to BKK. The evening flight, I assume. Besides, JL's lounge is perhaps quieter. Admiral Club at NRT in the evening is not a pleasant place to be as all AA flights to the U.S. leave in the few hours in the evening. (The CX lounge next to Adminral's Club is generally quieter -- now with a PC, too.)

Have a nice trip!
