I´m likely to be flying 60k-70k miles on AC this year and credit those flights to AP and was just wondering whether it does make any difference whether I´ve generated status miles on AC metal or any other Star Alliance partner.

The only differences I can think of (being an Elite):

- different amount of bonus miles (e.g. 50% on AC vs. 25% on LH)
- opportunity to use my SWUs/SSWUs
- possibly when AC introduces a lifetime status only miles flown on AC metal will count (aka 1 million miles flown on UA gives you UA liefetime status)

Am I missing anything?
