Dear Sir - that is dangerous - indeed given the context of Evangelism (what on earth does that mean? Do they walk the streets spreading the Gospel?) and whilst I think that is almost the most sweeping statement that I have read in 10 years (I lied about my age when i registered - I was supposed to ask my Mother's permission!) of flyertalk - there is so much truth in what you say. I have long thought that it should be the quality rather than the quantity of posts that count for becoming an Evangelist. However, poor wretched lost soul that I am - I come to Continental as I think that the accolade for best US airline is closely fought between AA and CO. I have never had a bad CO flight but then I have only once sat in Coach. The senior FA was a scream and was feeding us Gin and Tonics and CO gets quality liquor -Bombay Sapphire to which I am most partial - unlike the gin on AA which tastes as though it had been made in a New York brownstone bathtub.

CO have a quality product and it shows. I positioned from DFW to EWR the other day and I was loaded on to CO - which was odd considering they are OneWorld - I believe that the Longhorns were playing or something equally beyond my boredom threshold was occurring. My apologies to those whom such activities entertain.

The lead Flight Attendant/Purser walked around in a ski hat which made him look ridiculous but he may have harboured ambitions to star in the next "Cat in the Hat" movie and who am I to disillusion him. Him apart, the FA (I'm talking just like an Evangelist now!) who looked after the First Class cabin was efficient, charming, smiling and I would have had her in my team at BA in a heartbeat. She was quite simply the perfect person in the job that she clearly loved. Nothing was too much trouble and my dinner was delicious. I enjoyed the wine as I was not working. I expected little from having read the pundits here and was actually pleasantly surprised. No I did not photograph the meal tray. I use my megapixels for men rather than trays. I prefer live to dead meat. (). I would also add the following. I find the sort of people who chose CO are the sort who are very good company. I usually am aboard first - you do not graduate from European food markets without learning how to work a queue without upsetting all an sundry. I usually greet the person sitting next to me with a smile and a Good Whatevertimeofday it is. I then resume my Daily Telegraph downloaded cryptic crossword. Invariably I get into conversation at the other passenger's instigation. This was no exception - a drop dead hunk of a man and one of you (and you know who you are) had his laptop and playthings all ready for his flight. We pushed off the gate and we chatted until we were on the gate at New York. A most interesting experience for one such as me who after all these years still loves to listen to people.

So - I am sure that CO will do very nicely. At BA we are aware that on our IAH and EWR we are up against the best and we watch our backs for CO and VS as we know that they are good.

Now do not get me started about LH as I will sound like a real Evangelist ()
