Are there any ways to buy Aeroplan miles? I think you can buy them at 3 cents when you are booking travel, but only if you already have 70% of the miles available, and even then, you can only buy then if you are short of miles for the award. At the prices I am paying for tickets, 3 cents a mile would be a bargain.

Are there any interesting bonuses out there for non-flight activity? I just got the Amex Platinum card for my girlfriend. She doesn't drive, so anything automobile-related is out.
