The $1099 business class upgrade price for one-way trans-Pacific is just outrageous!

IMO it is not worth the price because:

- a trans-Pacific roundtrip ticket in business class by itself can be bought for a few hundred dollars more than $2200 or actually less if the routing originates in Asia

- you earn miles on the paid BC ticket whereas no miles on the upgraded BC ticket

- you still fly economy on the intra-Asia segments

- the flight eligibility days for the All-Asia pass (Sun. - Thu.) almost guarantees that economy is not full so you might actually be better off in economy with an empty seat next to you

Unless you DO plan to visit several cities (more than 4), the All-Asia Pass is just not worth it.
