I have used my Verizon Blackberry with the unlimited data plan in the following countries (3G Coverage in most) and I have never had a surcharge for data. This includes email w/ attachments, BBM, Googe Maps, lots of web browsing, Facebook photo uploads, etc. I absolutely love Verizon's policy that allows me to activate the service for only the days I need it and automatically deactivate it on a date I specify so I don't need to call back. I know the data plan has been successfully switched when I get "Email Account Activation Emails" from Blackberry. ^
