I've been just barely busy enough over the last couple of weeks to not quite be able to devote the hour or two that catching up on FT would require. So, in order not to lose the new thread information, I simply abstained completely. I won't go so far as to claim that I've deprived my fellow community members of useful and helpful information during my absence, but, well, I hope I was missed.

Oh, and assisting in planning a DO is relatively hard when I can't log in to FT for two weeks!
Instead, I spent a good hour or two today simply opening 249 tabs in Firefox: 75 or so from my subscribed threads and another 175 or so by combing through several pages of new, unread threads in the forums I subscribe to.
It seems insane that I have to do this--ignore FT completely for two weeks and then spend over an hour simply opening threads to read (not to mention actually reading them, which process I'm just starting now)--because of a minor technical thing that could be relatively easily implemented.
