I just booked yow-yyz-phx. Got the dates and times i wanted

Regular ~3,500 air miles - 25% = 2,588

Booked into T+ (W class) so you'll earn 100% status miles

Rip off fees = $187CAD

* PHX is a great option for AM redemption. Always expensive on AC. cheapest seats for my november flights were $1,200 on ac.com.
I don't believe AirMiles flights earn status miles regardless of the booking class. Mine haven't at least. They do however seem to be eligible for upgrades & LMU.
