I'm also a 2X, and for me draping rather than upholstering is the way to go. Look for "slinky" or "acetate/polyester/viscose & spandex" for clothes that either don't wrinkle, or shed wrinkles in a hurry. The textured kinds weigh quite heavy, but are surprisingly non-sweaty even in humid weather. Supplex is light-weight and also seems to breathe and wick sweat. Another great fabric is nylon stretch mesh - breathes, packs to nothing and doesn't crush. If you can get it, superfine merino wool is superb for all-season, crease-resistant, unsmelly comfort.

All of these wash easily - even in a bath or shower - and dry in no time. Also they don't cling to bulgy bits, but neither do they hide the fact that you have curves.

Some stores that I like: Taking Shape, Peggy Lutz, Ulla Popken, Dream Diva

And LAYER. Silk or similar top & longjohns rule in the cold - and make great PJs...
