My husband is a PPS Club member and a KrisFlyer gold level member. Tomorrow we are taking a flight on Continental Airlines and he wants to have the miles credited to his KrisFlyer account. Also we want to have access to the Star Alliance Gold lounge and get our luggage checked in with no fee.

When we went to the online check-in, we tried to edit his information so that it showed him as KrisFlyer and not OnePass (which he is also a member of) but when we go to the edit page, his name and all of his personal information is not there and we got a bit nervous about doing anything that might mess up our confirmed reservations so we exited.
We are relative novices to FF clubs -- although my husband has traveled extensively for work -- and don't know how to work these details out on our own. We find it all confusing.

Yes, you can do most of this.
First, call continental and ask them to add your KrisFlyer number on the reservation. This will get the miles credited to KrisFlyer. Also, when checking in your luggage, make sure the KF number is on your boarding pass.
Then, you can check in online.
You will not pay for bags AFAIK since your husband is star gold. However, I am not sure if you yourself will have to pay for your bags (I mean, your husband can check two bags...but if you have two more bags of your own, then you might have to pay ....someone else can clarify this).
YOu will get lounge access to the Presidents club since you are KrisFlyer Star Gold.
Which airport are you flying in and out of?
IN that case we can determine if you will get other Elite access privileges.
