You know, if this really is going to be true long term (and not just for this year due to Marriott's mess up with the roll over nights), then when your credit card nights "post" now really is an issue.

Back in the good old days of the 12-month window of counting nights, then it didn't matter if my CC nights were applied in January, July, or December. But if there is no longer a 12 month window for achieving a higher elite level, when your CC nights post can be very important. If you need those extra 15 nights to achieve Gold/Plat and don't get them until December, you don't get that elite level until then. For those lucky ones that get their CC nights in January, they could stay the exact same number of nights in a year that you do, but potentially achieve Gold/Plat months earlier.

As with freeupgrade, I'm glad I have already achieved my LT Plat status and I don't have to worry about it.
