The rate is about 25% when converting Esso to Aeroplan

For example, if you buy $3000 worth of regular gas
3000 Esso points converts to 750 Aeroplan miles
Using Aeroplan directly at the pump would give you 1000 miles

So Aeroplan would be better

If you buy $3000 worth of premium gas
3000*3 (bonus for premium gas) = 9000 Esso points converts to 750*3=2250 Aeroplan miles
Using Aeroplan directly at the pump would give you 1000 miles

So Esso points would be the better deal in this scenario
