Changing date of flight - horrible customer service
I called up BA to change my flight which i had purchased in world traveller plus and upgraded to club with miles. I had already used the DXB-LHR sector and looked to delay the DXB-LHR sector by a month. I had already changed this sector once before for GBP80. When i called this time, the first person i got through to seemed to not know anything about his job. He first told me that there were no seats available on the date i requested (whereas i could see online there were more than 4) and then told me, oh wait, you cant fly club because your original ticket is world traveller plus and asked if i wanted to be booked in this class. I called back and another lovely lady changed my date normally in club world to the date i requested, no questions asked. I just wish i knew what the first person was looking at? no availability and wanting to put me in a lower class!
Credit to BA, when i changed the ticket last time, they said they would call me back within 3 weeks because they needed to send it to another department to see if there was a fare change, but this time they did it on the spot. I guess that might have to do with cutting some staff and making others do more jobs.
