Back to the former life as a government employee, although it did not pay much, they did pay me for all of the unused vacation and sick time when I left as well as using it as service credit for the retirement payments. I had about 18 months of each.
If you like it that much, would you have done it unpaid? I think that you may be unique in my experience, just because you go on leave does not mean that you dislike your job, it means that you want time to yourself and with your loved ones.
My husband, a policeman for many years rose within the ranks and it was considered vital for the officers to take leave for all the reason the good Capt said. Interestingly also - as this and security were his speciality 0 banks and other organisations where money is handled or transacted insist on staff taking full leave as it is then when any employee malpractice can surface if they are not around to cover it. Not very nice I know but there it is.
I am interested in this thread and wonder how much you can differentiate between First and Club. Do you pitch Club as a reduced First or a superior Economy and with the beds etc I think that they have gone for reduced First.
