I have 16k BA miles that I want to use up in the near future (well, 16,945, and those missing 55 miles to take me to 17k are kind of annoying). I am now flying ex SYD and have moved over to earning on QF, and not earning on BA anymore.

I'm looking for suggestions on how to use them ex SYD, as I believe they might expire in the next 12 months. As far as I can see, these are my options...

15000 miles - one way domestic flight anywhere in Australia in Y. Best vlue for something really far i.e Sydney-Broome
12500 miles - one way upgrade to Club from Y+ on BA route ex SYD to SE Asia (and vv) + payment, i.e. SYD-SIN, SYD-BKK
16300 miles - one way reward flight on BA routes as above
25000 miles - (i.e purchasing 9k for 159 GBP) one way SE Asia flight partner reward, i.e. on QF or CX to anywhere they fly in SE Asia. Best value and availability would appear to be further and popular destinations such as HKG, SIN, NRT etc.

Is there anything I'm missing? Any opinions on the best value to be had here? Seems like (to me at least) spending $1k AUD on a Y+ SYD-SIN (or similar) flight and upgrading to Club offers the best value, but if anyone can think of any other options that I haven't considered then I'd love to hear them. What would you do?
