The past 2 years I have used points to stay at the Hilton Oceanfront Suites in Ocean City MD. For me, it is only a 3 hour drive, rooms are suites, on the beach, with a nice kids pool. Normally costs $499 per night during summer, so I think it is a good use of my points.
It may be a great hotel,but Ocean City is more of a carnival atmosphere than many would choose,although there is alot to do with kids.
OP did not say when he/she was going-stay clear of late May and all of June in Ocean City--high school seniors en masse make it loud and crowded
